Whilst searching for Marklin 2015 items on internet,i ended up with the Minitrix clubmodel for 2015,the 1/160 model of the 78.1001.
Unlike the "original"" series 78,the series 78.10 were in fact two (38.2919 and 38.2990) modified series 38 locomotives.
The series 78.10 were having a modified driverscabin and a shortcoupled 2-axle tender, making them very suitable for reverse traffic.
They were already outphased in 1961 in favour of series 38 engines with tubtenders.
As far as i know, this is the first model of the 78.10 ever issued by Trix.

Trix being owned by Marklin,it is logical to assume there will be some cross breeding between the various scales.
This would also spread the development costs over the different divisions of the company.
As such,we might see a Marklin H0 scale 78.10 somewhere in future.

Picture,not Trix,please see below.

Whilst on Minitrix, have a look at 11622,a CAT city to airport train with a series 1116 loco in special colors.
I see this as another Marklin H0 candidate.

Views welcome.

Isn't that a pretty little thing?

I wouldn't mind a Marklin version of this one....

It is not uncommon to issue two different Insider models,it happened before.
I guess Marklin wish to keep their powder dry (militairy expression) and only issue new models if the need arises, based on sales figures/market response.

See also Minitrix 12119,a 1/160 model of the streamlined DR BR 01.5,another Marklin H0 candidate.

About Insider models in general, these are freely available on internet/trade fairs after a while,no need to be an Insider member.

No it´s not true.
What Märklin means,it´s complete new work toys that is one insider model year 2015.
While second is old model but difference road number.
I believe it will only be one insider model year 2015.
Let´s see when models presents at Nurnberg 2015.

I understood that a second h0 insider model will be a diesel or an electric locomotive

The 78.10 for Minitrix is shown in Marklin TV episode 69.
The commentator says that the model will firstly be released for gauge N.
This makes me think that a scale H0 model is in the pipeline also.
