Modern layouts seems a bit overloaded with buildings and scenery, comparing with this German show layout in 1935.

Life must have been good in those days, no frying decoders, no need to update your CS2 ...

I am trying to imitate just that with my analog layout. I am too old to "battle" with computer problems LOL

Hello Kweekalot,

Does it seem more sparse to us because it is not HO gauge, but rather O or 1 ??

Regards,

PJ

Looks to be "0"gauge to me judging on the height the camera is off the floor & the 2 operators in the middle.

Cheers Tom in Oz.

Thanks Marco for posting this. What a huge layout in 1935. When it's analog, there are no "computer problems" BigGrin . In my opinion there is no need to have always a town etc. on the layout as the main thing are the trains and tracks. In my garage I have an analog "layout" with solid center rail 3600 tracks. There is only turntables and loco sheds, no scenery and other buildings. I will let it stay like that. Only thing I will add is more lights for better athmosphere when garage lights are shut down.

Regards,
Janne
Märklin H0 digital layout. I have analog and digital H0 Collection. Rolling stock mostly from era I, II, III and IV. Märklin 1 gauge beginner.

Looks like a fun running trains layout!
