I found a Marklin 2907 starter set were the lok did not work. It needed a new slider and some light oiling and now works just fine. To give it a new home I plan to give it to a close friend of mine who has 3 young daughters who loves trains. Hopefully they will develop the Marklin bug BigGrin

Ha ha ha - given that we are talking about 3 young daughters, I think, it 'might' be a little more appropriate to re-word that to "never to young to DIVERT young people in the right direction" !!!! LOL LOL LOL

We all know what you mean Jacques but with this crazy mixed-up world one can never be too careful. Scared

Fred, be sure and take a photo or two of their excitement, and of course a Video of the first time they set it up. You know you'll start a sequence of events here, scenery/landscaping and kits, more track, additional rolling stock it will never end. And long may it continue. ThumpUp

Cheers
