I just acquired an all nice and complete 7028 roundhouse - however, it came without a user manual and it is not obvious to me how to get the door mechanism to work properly - can anyone here perhaps help?

Hi Alt,

Welcome to the forum.

The door-mechanism is not described in the manual.
The doors should be opened and closed by the locomotives. When a loco presses against the bumper, the doors should close. Simple mechanics.
It maybe useful to remove the roof and show some pictures of the shed and your mechanism. To remeove the roof the two funnels at rail 1 & 3 must be unscrewed.
