Recently I heard some strange rumours *** : from now + in the future, Marklin intend to produce their firmwares in two languages only : German & English....including CS2 updates....NO more different foreign languages, even not Dutch, even not French.....forget about the rest of the world, forget about the rest of Europe....Cursing
Is it true ?
Anybody has some serious information about it ?

*** a french dealer who said he received a note from Marklin about it....Sad

If this is true...
Märklin is getting more ducking acting about digital system.

Not quite sure what Goofy means here, but they would certainly be doing themselves disservice. In English we would say 'they are cutting off their nose to spite their face', i.e. doing something stupid.

As you say: just a rumour until we see a copy of that note.

There are nine languages on the selection screen of the new PC version of the CS2 software:
CS2 on PC language selection screen
And four of them are actually working (the top row).
Since the real CS2 supports more than four languages I thought it would be just a matter of time until the PC version supported more than just four.
I don't think they will reduce it to just two languages.
Edit: The new, updated version supports 7 languages (Russian still show German text, Japanese only shows black rectangles (font problem), Swedish, Spain, and Italian are now working).

So far new feature appear in German even if you select another language. Would be nice to have at least English and German for all new features - English probably is more useful for Märklin fans who do not speak German.

There are many Märklin companies. Märklin Netherlands is normally rather quick with their web site. They also supply Dutch PDF files describing the installation of CS2 software &c.
Märklin France and Märklin Belgium seem to have fewer resources for such services.
Regards
Tom
