I been checking up on what tyres I need to buy for my loco collection: I measured the wheel diameters, admittedly not the recessed groove, and found, for example:
For 37137-dia 16mm; and 37183-dia 19.5mm: the handbooks say E220530 is the correct tyre- quite a "stretch" I should imagine to get it over that 19.5mm dia wheel?
Is the E220530 the same as the "old" 7153?
Also the T12, 36741 has a wheel dia of 17.5mm - handbook lists 129408? is this also possibly the same as 7153?
Where the handbook lists 7153 (BR85, BR23, BR24, Mallet Gt 2x4/4, BR64, etc), the wheel diameters range from 14mm to 19mm - quite a variance...?
I have the V90, 37906, which lists E220510 - is this the same as 7154?
Lastly, my Baden IVh has large wheels of about 23mm diameter - and the handbook lists E656520.
Don't find it on Modellbahnshop-lippe page tho...??
Anyone have any thoughts on this..?
Many thanks, Joe

I use the instruction booklets that came with my loks as a guide which are all 4 digit numbers. Have you tried Marklin's web site for the correct numbers? You can email
them with your lok numbers for the correct part numbers. The new ones do stretch quite a bit and I use toothpicks (2) to get them on. Good luck! Fred

Joe,

I still think in terms of 7152, 7153, 7154.

What I can say is that the tyres can stretch a fair bit, so a tight fit is probably correct !

Thanks John and Fred - I like the toothpick idea, sounds good - I also still also "think 7153/4/2...."
John - found some tyres - 7154 - that I bought way back in the '80's...cost me 7 cents each! Don't want to know what they cost now?!!
