While servicing the Blue Diesel ML200CC, 39302, with the body off, I noticed a brown wire from the end of one side of the "circuit board" to the chassis had come adrift - the solder joint had worked loose. Not sure if this has been like this for a while, or if it came loose now while I was busy servicing the unit - but everything still works: all the lights, sound, and the running is fine. There is a similar brown wire on the "opposite" side of the unit, but still intact.....there is a screw holding down a brass? plate to which the wires are attached by solder.
Could these wires simply be 2 x Earths? And do I attempt to re-solder the loose one, or simply leave well alone....Confused
Thanks in advance...
Joe

Yes. Ground contact will be better with two wires. I'd re-solder it.
You can wait until you encounter problems. Locos with two or three axles are also working. With one wire off ground contact will still be as good as with such a loco, but not taking advantage of the second truck.
