Hello all.

I have the Porsche Taurus and unfortunately a very lazy pantograph. I was wondering if it is possible to mount a Sommerfeldt pantograph instead of the Märklin sparepart? The Sommerfeldt pantograph is much cheaper and look (to me) exactly the same.

Søren,

The Maerklin part is E601323 (29,50). I believe that this one is painted red (bottom section). I think the appropriate one for the Taurus is this one:

The base is different than the ones used by Maerklin.
If you would like, I have a pair of Maerklin ones (all silver) that I can send you if you are interested. They originally come from a 3760 type Re 460 (E644240).
I replaced them with the narrower Swiss type ones, so I have some extra. I just have to find them in my spare parts bin.

Regards
