I was looking for something on the roco.cc site and noticed that they had posted a picture of their coming model of the SBB Re 420 LION.
I then managed to find comparable photos of the Hag and Maerklin models, which I now post for your perusal.

Perhaps it is only a momentary issue, but the Roco links do not work for me. Confused

I changed the link for Roco model. The second link should now bring you to the product page for 78415. When the page displays, click on the photo to open it in a new window in large format.

I must say that I am not quite sure what the "ürcher S-Bahn" is.

These all look nice. Someone should make a dummy unit (with lights) to go with these!

I have done some testing with a pair of Roco Re 4/4II and see no reason why you could not operate a pair of locomotives with a consist of Fleischmann S-Bahn coaches. It would be nice if there would be some way of converting the locomotives to having current conducting couplings and slider changeover for the motors. The Roco Re 4/4IIs are very nicely matched in acceleration, deceleration and maximum speed. The only issue would be control of the rear locomotive when the lead engine entered a signal (stop) zone, which could be alleviated if only the lead slider was used for the motors.

The HAG model is available as a dummy with lights and optional sound from the dealer Loki-Depot Horw in Switzerland. I have one and it can be used perfectly. However, I can't really recommend the offer to members of this forum because the mentioned dealer is unwilling to ship models to anywhere, and one is actually forced to visit his shop (yes indeed - the guy probably has never heard of global economy ThumbDown ).

Looks like a pretty cool shop & club layout...not too far from the transport museum...

I couldn't agree more with the dummy sentiments. I've been around long enough to say no matter how good your layout is, a powered unit both ends of 6 cars in a digital consist is eventually going to cause an accident....

The HAG dummy is a great plan, however the cost is more than buying Marklin and pulling the motor out Cursing I'm going to wait a year or two and see if maybe Roco does a dummy. (I don't have high hopes for a Marklin one)

As a side note, I bought the Roco 64132 and 64133 AC Coach Sets for these locomotives. Not cheap but they are beautiful!!
