Who's decoders does Brawa use?
Matt
Era 3
DB lokos, coaches and freight cars from across Europe
But I do have the obligatory (six) SBB Krocs
ECoS 50200, all FX and MFX decoders replaced with ESU V4s, operated in DCC-RailCom+ with ABC brake control.
With the exception of the passenger wagens with Marklin current conducting couplers, all close couplers have been replaced with Roco 40397.

Well then, there's an extra $125 I will not need to spend. At first blush, Brawa's products appear more costly than Marklin's. When you crunch the numbers, then not so much.

There is better motor than Märklins.
There is nicer telex coupler than Märklins.
There is decoder version 4 much better than mfx.
I would spend extra money to get an better locomotiv than Märklins.

Very nice but RRP 359 euro for Digital AC sounds (about 90 euro more that Marklin price).

I already have the Marklin 37901.

Brawa is more detailed than Marklin
Brawa perhaps have a best motor than Marklin

but

The quality of Brawa model is poor, all my Brawa locos lost some pieces on the layout
And other Brawa locos have a several problems like V320 (boggies deformed) and others.

Brawa wagons are the best but in locos...
And V90 is plastic body.. not for me...

My experience with Brawa is limited as I only have two locomotives from that manufacturer. The first one I purchased was a 'pre-order'. It must have been one of the first off of the assembly line as it had quality issues. I returned it to the dealer and received a new one which currently is running fine. This particular model included a bag of loose parts that were to be used 'for display only'. I think the sound of this loco is very good; superior to that of Marklin Locos. The second Loco has no sound but runs perfectly as long as it doesn't encounter any turn-outs. Despite the detailed parts of these two, I have yet to experience any parts falling off.

I like Brawa locomotives. So far I only have one steamer, but I'm looking at getting a diesel or electric to see how they compare.

I already have a Marklin V90, so I won't be getting the Brawa version. I might go for the Voith Gravita, or maybe the DR V100 (Br108)

The DRG E73 looks cute too!
