I probably have as many trains as this guy, but I wish that I had his layout.

I don't think I have ever seen YouTube produce such a big screen without maximising the video window ...

The track at the start could do with some ballasting ... Tongue but I only watched the first couple of minutes, gotta do some work!

I so appreciate the sounds of the trains instead of music that people so often use in train videos.

Great layout for parade routes/long trains!

I'd like to see an overall view to get an idea of the plan/positioning. The one half is well documented with the two levels and large stations, but curious how it all connects via the other half of the room. Seems like an interesting track plan

These are actually very well put together videos (apart from some Camera shake) of a very nice Marklin layout which is a great concept portrayal of the Gothard but certainly very Swiss with nice Marklin and mostly, I suspect, Roco other Loks. Very Prototypical Gothard type consists with double heading etc as well.

The un ballasted tracks at the start of part I are in the main Hbf which has either had a rebuild or just not gotten around to ballasting as yet. I thought the weathering of the tracks and the subtle super elevation of them is superb, even to the extra "rust dust" on the downhill sections of the left hand line as is evident on the Gothard, as shown to us by Jacques' lovely Gothard photos he posted or linked us to on the forum a couple of years back.

I think a lot of layout building tips are to be found on this youtube channel, check out his other video's

He certainly has a lot of trains of all era's judging by the titles of his other videos which I will watch with interest. Wink

A good find Mike ThumpUp

Here is an old video of his with the layout under construction. It is too short for any clues about the layout plan tho

Here is the link to his library of YouTube videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/dim11852/videos

Hopefully you can get a better idea of his layout by viewing more of the videos.

Hi all,

This guy has a thread opened on the French forum about his layout: http://www.3rails.fr/for...topic.php?f=6&t=2376

You may found there more photos of his extraordinary layout...

Cheers
Fabrice
