I managed to score one of these from Uncle Nev's Shiny Used Trains Department Store. Very nice. I was updating my database, when I noticed that Koll's report two versions of the set. The only difference is "Wagen ohne erhabene Zuglaufschilder". Can someone please tell me what that means? (The Google translate came back as meaningless nonsense.) Photos would be nice too.

Thank you in advance. Smile

This means that the train destination boards are not engraved in the mould. So the previous set had them engraved (and you can feel them on the model).

I don't have pictures of that set.
Regards
Tom

Thank you Tom.. It looks like I have 2856.2 as the destination boards are labels/stickers.

Mike, "My Store" was tongue in Mouth remark from Adrian and then Myself.
However as I lost a small skirmish with SWMBO we are downsizing and I also have to downsize on stock.

I have not really sorted things out but a Mikado and Green Crock are currently available and maybe some more in a few weeks.

Hi Neva,
Thanks for the reply, do I feel silly now!

The crock is lovely but I don't model any digital stuff just 60's analogue.

How quaint?

No not stupid at all. just some of us have a warped sense of Humour. I do have some Digital that can be run as analogue and I have a couple that can be converted back to analogue (including the crock).
