Hi all,

What are the running characteristics like on the original Marklin/Brawa 3680 Kof? Marklin claimed at the time it had a high efficiency motor (5 pole?), but since it was made between 1988 and 1993 it had the old 6080 decoder. I know the decoder is simple, it does not have load regulation and accel/decel delay, but what are the general impressions, especially at lower speed? I am hoping the loco runs smoothly at constant low speeds, even if acceleration/deceleration are a bit jerky. I'm not sure how this motor/decoder combo works out.

I have a 3604 BR80 with a 6080, and I'm not that impressed with the running characteristics at low speed under digital control. However, I think in the case of BR80 it is a combo of the decoder and old three pole motor.
