I just received the Roco 64125 Railjet Passenger car set to go with my Roco 79531 Railjet loco. I am waiting for delivery of the 64128 add on set. Can't say I like the couplers, they were little difficult to connect.

But here are my questions. The lead car connects to the loco with an electrical connection, but does it really do anything? Realizing that the set came with some paperwork about a decoder and that the last car has a slider and pickups on the axles, I assumed that a decoder was installed in the car set. So I added a loco with DCC address 3 and I was able to turn off and on the rear red lights on the last car. But nothing I have tried has turned the lights on in the cars.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!!

Robert

Well, it is almost 2am here on the right coast of the US but I think I may have solved my problem. I found a small piece of paper in one of the car boxes in German and using Google translate it seems F7 turns the lights on and off. It does say something about synching the set with the loco. Not sure what that means. If it implies to set the decoder for the cars to the same address as the loco, F7 makes a noise (maybe a uncoupling sound?) on the loco. Hmmmmm ...

Anyone have this set??

I don't have this set so I don't have access to any of the papers.
Google translations can be misleading.

If you post the German text here, someone will provide a human translation ...
