I have implemented a web browser in my train layout software, so now I can control it from any browser...

http://cabinlayout.mixmo...ser-based-layout-control

Note, I abstract out the detail such as route numbers, turnout addresses and even loco decoders etc in my software. One works on entities such as a train. One can dispatch it to some destination, without having to think about free track, turnouts, signals etc.

Hi Dale

Looks interesting although I don't understand what software/hardware this browser is linked to? Is it linked to a CS2? Or is it linked to another computer software programme such as RocRail or TrainController which is running on the computer? Or maybe you have developed your own software to control your layout?

I had a look at the website but was unable to understand how the computer is linked to your layout.

Hi Mike,

The web server I implemented in in my own layout control software. It talks to the layout via an Intellibox.

The setup looks like this:

[layout ] ---- [Intellibox] ----s-e-r-i-a-l--p-o-r-t-- [PC running my Bw software] ---H-T-T-P----[any browser]
