I have look at some ACME locomotives on ebay.de

Anyone own the ACME locomotives with AC digital? I need to know the ACME locos can use with CS2?

What type of decoder? Motors?

Thanks

I can't say I own any locomotives, but the ACME stuff is NICE! Comparable to LS Models in detail. Really good stuff, but they don't make much for 3 rail. I ahve some passenger cars and am quite pleased with them.

Yes, I know, it is about locos made by ACME of Italy, but Walter started referring to Coyote´s ACME products - and LIONEL built an animated ACME gondola - see pic:

The ACME locomotives have a five pole motor with skewed amature and a flywheel. The motor has no fancy name.

You can of course use the locomotives with the CS2 since it speaks DCC.

The ACME models normally have a high degree of detailing.

I only found one loco for AC. Did I miss something?

The shop I like to buy from when I'm in Luxembourg, MBS-L, usually has a few ACME models on display. They look good, but I always worry about buying one of these expensive products only to find they don't go around the curves on my layout.

Maybe one day I'll take a risk and try one.

Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

I feel as though they are missing out on some sales in AC. NOBODY makes much in terms of AC italian equipment; they would sell me 10+ locomotives (no exaggeration) if their existing DC line was available in AC. Oh well...

Same goes for me! i'd love to spend some money on a AC version of their E 402 or E 636/E646/E656. They actually once announced a AC version of the E646 a few years ago only to be never heard of again ... Confused

Just have to settle for their waggons and coaches then.
