Hi,

I am wanting to replace the Traction Tyres on my DB Class 003 Steam Locomotive. Marklin = 3085
The manual says they must be 7152 traction tyres.

There is no way that the 7152 tyre can possibly fit around the large drive wheel of a 3085.Crying Crying
The 7152 traction tyres are way too small. The 7153 and 7154 tyres are smaller, so that's no good either.

Do you get a traction tyre larger than the 7152 ?

Regards,BigGrin
John

Hi John,

You have to stretch them a lot, but they will fit. 7152 is the correct tyre. I have fitted them myself on my 3085

Hi John,

Traction tyres must be smaller than the wheel as they will hold on the wheels without slipping this way. It first looks like they are a way too small, but they are ok when they are fitted.

Ray is 100% correct!
I have had rare cases where they burst from the "stretching" Cursing ...but in fact that was because they were old and dried up Bored (package had been open for years..)
So you know what to do in that case too.BigGrin
Have fun!
