I didn´t know that there is now an new upgrade version for the MS2 since few weeks ago.
Members here know about latest upgrade for the CS2,but also for the MS2.
So those who did already upgrade MS2,why didn´t you report about it?
And what functions is there know by use latest version?
Any bugfix too...!?

It seems that every "big" new version for the CS2 also includes a new version for the MS2. Important changes are announced in the CS2 changelog.
I think they didn't document any improvements since v 1.83. And I noticed no improvements since v 1.83 that are worth mentioning.

The nasty long time bugs are still around with v 2.30 (e.g. MM locos not responding if first loco in the list is a DCC loco).

Version 3.7.x should be available soon - we'll see if it brings any progress for the MS2.
Regards
Tom

Aaaaaaaah that explains a few problems I have encountered. LOL. :-) I thought it was the decoder in the MM loco. Guess not. :-)

I didn't know about that either!

Anyway when I have a problem with a loco suddenly not working I try a reset to the MS2 first, which would have cured the problem.

Wow, what a coincidence, this morning I just had the mm problem with my 2.3 ver. MS2 while doing a 6080 decoder test Cursing , and was thinking the decoder was maybe bad Confused until I grabbed another MS2 and happened to make the loco first and all was well Cool, then proceeded to reset the other MS2 which cured it, but now I see was that was all unnecessary.

Thanks Tom!ThumpUp ThumpUp

Cheers,

Gordon

Yes, can be "cured" without Reset:

I think this bug was already around with v 1.64, maybe earlier. Took us some time to find this work-around.

Works good.
It works well if you use DCC locos only. It works well if you use MM locos only.
If you register a DCC loco first you may find that MM locos will not respond (even though "Detect Loco" finds them).

I've read several posts advising to unplug the MS2 before upgrading the CS2.
AFAIK there is no risk in upgrading the MS2 (though I haven't noticed any benefits of 2.30 over 2.10).
