Video is at: http://cabinlayout.mixmo...idden-station-automation

The accelerations inside te hidden areas is not done prototypically, since speed is the essence in those areas.

The hidden station is not yet hidden, except at one end.

Very good, Dale!

I've seen this done electromechanically, but it's nice to see it done with software.

Fantastic !

What did you use to acknowledge the train presence ?

Cheers

Hi Dale,

Really nice !ThumpUp

May I ask you which software you use ?
And how many blocks did you use on the long straight line (I'd guess 2 or probably three, or some special feature like "staging block" ?)

Cheers

Hi

I use s88 detection points to track train movements.

Hi Fabrice,

I use my own software that I wrote.
6 of the tracks have 3 'blocks' each and the 2 longest tracks (in each direction) have 2 'blocks'

With my system a train does not have to fit inside a block. It can occupy more than one, thus the train with 3 'block' could be occupied by one very long train or one lone and one short or three 'short' ones. (short = about 2m)

Each 'block' uses 3 detection points:

1. entry into block (= exit from previous)
2. slow to creep speed
3. Stop/exit (= entry of next one)

thus a long track to hold three trains has the following seven s88 detection points:

>=a=========b===c===========d===e===========f===g=

if a train has to stop at 'g', it travels at a high speed until 'f' then it creeps along to 'g' and stops.
if a train has to stop at 'e', it travels at a high speed until 'd' then it creeps along to 'e' and stops.
if a train has to stop at 'c', it travels at a high speed until 'b' then it creeps along to 'c' and stops.

I d not use braking sections nor train Id feedback systems. They are unnecessary. I just track where each train is and monitor the s88 feedback.
