I am planning on buying a Marklin torpedowagon and convert it from AC to DC. Its original DC replacement wheelset number was 304062 which is sold out. I am not able to get the dimensions of that online. I checked modellbahn-radsatz (http://www.das-service.de/modellbahn-radsatz/1955919b450b56226/1955919b450b5b432/1955919b500f26b31/index.php) but not sure which one to order.Confused

Thank you Barguest, for refering to my article. Unfortunately I had not included information relevant for the Torpedo Laddle wagon, but I did so the minute I saw your post. The article is updated.

The Torpedo Laddle wagon needs wheel sets of 9 mm in diameter and 24.4 mm axles. You can find them here:

Hello,
http://www.dermodellbahn...agen/maerklin/m48293.htm don't think you are right with the data about the Torpedo Wagon wheelsets.
Als far als I know, the 4-axle trucks are equipped with 2 different types of wheels. Booth have a diameter of 10.4 mm.
The outer ones have a "Spitzenlager", width <23.8>
The inner two ones in each truck are flat wheels, width |20.4| mm, identical wheels are mounted in the Br 01.10 tender (the last three ones).
Please check this out before ordering other wheels.

If I am right, I can offer you an exchange of these wheels, as I am looking for AC wheels for a Trix deep well wagon, that has the same Krupp trucks.

Edit: seems I am wrong, See below
Regards, Andi

Hi Andi,

I am not sure whether we are talking about the same Torpedo wagon since you mentioned 4 axel. The one which I have is Marklin 48293 with 18 axles. The axles are same throughout. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hello Mihir,
I checked the pictures at http://www.dermodellbahn...agen/maerklin/m48293.htm and it seems I am wrong.
Although the 4 axle truck (5 - 4 - 4 - 5) is of the same prototype, the mounting of the axles is different.
Sorry for that.

Andi
