Hi,

Whenever I try to change the default address of a DCC loco using the POM, I heard the aknowledge sound from the loco. However If I put the locomotive on another layout, it does not reflect the change made using the CS2.

If I try to change the CV using the programming track, the CS2 starts to try to apply the update, the progress bar goes to 2, then returns to one and after some seconds of seeing the locomotive trying to move, the CS returns a message that it was not able to apply the configuration change. It's quite frustrating.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

You can only change adress by program on the program track,not PoM.
I suggest you try first to reset decoder with CV 8.
The adress change back to 3.

DCC = Digital Command Control

Hi,

Programming track didn't make the trick.
I'll give a shot resetting the decoder as suggested.

Thanks!

There are four CVs involved when it comes to changing addresses.

Simply go to the loco properties page, do NOT click the CV button, instead just change the address on the properties screen and apply changes to the loco while the loco is on the programming track. The CS2 will know which of the four CVs will have to be changed.
Verify that the loco is registered as "DCC", not "MM programmable" or such.

To verify that changes were successful, create a new loco and have the CS2 read the address from the loco.
Regards
Tom
