It looks like a addon to the popular program Train Simulator.
There would be no way to control your layout with it.

It has been long time ago i did watching train simulator and i see now it has become more advanced program to play with it.
No wonder why modeltrain factory loss customer in the market...
But it was boring to watching simulated world,so i prefer real train models.

As Goofy said - Booooring.... You want to see the trains run....

A real mfx+++ killer app & hw design would be a tiny camera in front of the lok showing your layout with the cab superimposed...

I use a bullet HD camera and this does the job as well who needs a display panel, I would like to know how it works on an automated layout when suddenly your steam loco runs out of steam and interrupts the whole sequence of automated trains.

Hi John,

A seemingly quite good Train Simulator, but I agree with most comments above, it is just that, and would take a lot of processing power that the CS2 will never have, but I think that is were you miss the point.

MFX+ is a bit of a toy or game to add some play value to your MRR operations. As I am building a small layout at the moment, with only a single main line, but a comprehensive BTW, I believe it (MFX+) will add some play / interest value for me, and perhaps a bit of edginess to keep one on one's toes and interested in the train operations, of one's models. That said the layout is far from complete and a CS2 is not in my hands yet ! but I do have a few MFX+ Loks

A Computer Controlled Layout is a different matter, where by design once it is all programmed, one sits back and enjoys watching his trains run, and without much intervention, however if a bit of special interest by performing the manouvers to carry out replenishment of supplies is of interest, then this would be a different thing, and possible to do by interrupting the operational sequence, although I could imagine that the replenishment operations could be programmed to happen, in a special sequencing operation, not part of conventional running in and out of trains from Station to station, or Schattenbahnhoff.
An exception might be if the replenishment was alongside the main lines, but this would not be very prototypical.

So perhaps a kind reference to the Train Simulator, rather than trying to compare it to MFX+ would have been more appropriate Cool
But John I'm not trying to give you a telling off here. Scared Smile

Perhaps Nigel Packer may like to comment if he uses Cab Control, at all, with his Computer Controlled Layout, which has a CS2 as the Controller. Smile

CS1 Reloaded, Touch Cab, C Track Modules, K track layout all under construction. Currently Insider

This is a different thing again with some comparison with The Z1 possibly relevant ! Wink Smile

Good point!
mfx+ is just a game, far away from realistic train simulation.

I don't want to rain on his parade, but I am pretty sure swiss trains drive on the left so to speak, like our trains in the UK.

Interesting program though, are we sure it is train simulator and not some custom simulation?
