After a long wait the model has been delivered with the cod. HR 2332
The solution adopted to permit the running on the bends is the opening of the carters, kept in place by springs
A good compromise considering fidelity to the original, the plastic body and the price of the model.
It runs perfectly.
You can look at a lot of pics as usual here:

How does this compare to the Märklin 26610?

I really like the looks of the 61 002 compared to 61 001... Wink

I also prefer the 002 than the 001 prototipe.
The two models are quite different
Märklin: metal body and sound decoder (old simply sound)
Rivarossi: plastic and no sound
About the detail the RR is on another planet, and the in the box there are three different front/rear finiture.
One defect is the light that came out under the body when you turn on the lights in the dark.
The bogie of the coaches are directly fixed on the mobile parts of the shell, so in the straight line they are well aligned.
The engine RR is 100 time better than the c-compact.
Nevertheless, before to buy I suggest to have in the hands the model and test it on the tracks in a shop.
