What sort of wagons does the DB use for carrying grain, and where might I find photos of them? I'm mainly interested in Era 5.

Hi Gary,

try Google - picture search with "Getreidewagen" which is the German word for cars which transport grain.

But also French cars ("Transcéréales" et al) are seen often in Germany.

Markus

I think there is a variant of the Fads bogie hopper wagon which is (was?) used for grain. It is similar to the open version used for coal and minerals, but has lids on top to keep the grain dry.
