Afternoon all,

I got a BR 23 Toy Fair Edition 39023 yesterday and in the box was this odd thing that I can not identify or figure out what it is for ?

Any ideas folks.

Sad when its cheaper to buy a new 29640 starter set from Germany than a CS2 on its own in Oz, welcome to the joys of Marklin down under .

looks strange, it's disappeared but now it has appeared, it looks like 2 brake shoes but when you look at the spare part list there is nothing to suggest where it comes from, maybe get a clearer picture and from different angles or someone has the loco and can identify it, see if it fits under the front bogy.

Looks as if it belongs to the rear running axle (brake shoes towards the smoke stack).
Regards
Tom

I had the same part adrift in another locomotive I got recently. It took me a while to figure out where it went.

Seeing this post is so funny and ironic. I have a very similar looking part, I had it seating on the shelf for probably more than a year know because I knew it surely fell of some train but I don't know which one. I can think of a class 01 or a 39 which might be the newest steam locos I bought brand new but there might be a couple of others like the blue 18 Ray uploaded. Has that part been used for a long time or do any of you know which models use it?

Thank you!
