I am a huge fan of the "nez cassé" locos and the series 72000 are my favorite
I had Lima and Jouef, but I wondered if Marklin or any other brand had made them for AC

I agree, particularly this one....it is a nice 6 axles Diesel machine!
There is a 72000 model in the Minitrix range....so.... one day in HO scale may be ?

Dear sir Yes you can? Roco produce them under there AC range. Cat number 78983 for 294 euros, from Modellbahn-Kramm. This one is in it's 80s logo/paint scheme. Although it's Roco it's high on my list as I have seen one or two in Northern France on my train spotting over there. I usually stick with Marklin. But This diesel and there ferry wagons do catch my attention, but there's alot of Marklin to get before I think of one of theseBigGrin

My last SNCF train ride (Feb. 2004) was the D468 from Paris to Zurich. From Gare de l'est, the train was pulled by a 72000 (now called 172000) via Noisy, Verneuil L'Etang, Romilly, Troyes, Chaumont, Chalindrey, Vesoul, Lure, Belfort, Mulhouse to St-Louis and Basel. From Basel to Zurich, a SBB locomotive was at the head of the train. I don't remember if it was a Re 4/4II or Re 460 for that leg of the trip.

I have some very fond memories of this train from my travels during my student days in the 1980s.

BTW, ETS has the 78983 listed as Auslauf with a reduced price.

Regards

Thanks so much! My grandpa's last gift, when I was a child, before he passed away, was a Lima one and maybe that's why I am still very fond of them.
I used to have 5 Lima in blue livery, even painted on in green Fret design too, and one in red as well. I tried to paint one in "en voyage" colours but found it extremely hard so i quit.
Good to know there is at least one manufacturer offering them in AC just in case one day I want to give it at try.
