Here is something for Canadians celebrating 100 years of Canada and Expo 67 in Montreal. Follow the Link http://www.rapidotrains.com/confed.html

I sure wish Marklin would produce an HO The Canadian set with their current F units. They've got all the molds, etc, they just need to do the paint scheme.

Neither Canadian National nor Canadian Pacific owned F7s. The Canadian railroads used GPA-9s, special variants of the GMD FP-9.

I had spoken to Jason at Rapido Trains, but he informed me that they had not thought of making AC versions of their product and they were not planning to design models with conversion in mind, so there would be no question of easy installation of AC slider and other modifications needed to run on Maerklin.

As far as the Confederation train, I have fond memories of seeing this train both at Dorval (CN) and at Montreal West (CP) as well as passing by where we lived at St-Luc Junction.
