Hi
I've just picked up these spare parts but I have no idea what they are for. The numbers are 579120-E and 579110. The 110 is a contact plate but for what.
Thanks
Roger

Hi Roger,

Great find! What you have there are the coupler pockets (Deichsel) for the American Streamliner coaches, and the retaining / contact plates (Kontakblech) for them. I am always on the lookout for the 579120's as they are easily broken (like the two out of the bag), especially when using the the drawbar style version of current conducting couplers.

Cheers,

Gordon

Thanks gents
It makes more sense now as there is 17 close couplers 70163 and some manuals for the Streamline engine and lights for 73150 and a manual for 3362 plus parts list for 37611 etc. if anyone is interested I will take a photo and put it in the sale section. Any clues on the contact plate spare

Hi Roger,

The contact plates are also for the Streamliner coaches. If you would like to sell the parts I would definitely be interested. I need some for a set of Amtrak Coaches I am currently restoring and upgrading.

Thanks, Gordon
