Hi

I have tried to find information about a freight wagon that I have come across. It is supposed to be a Trix Profi-Club item #24015. I cannot find any proof that the item number ever existed, or what its purpose was. The car is a flatbed truck with a heavy element on it, with the text "Trix Profi Club 2001".

Now I know, that this is NOT the 2001 club car, because I have that. Does anybody know what it might be? I am not calling it a fake, since it does seem to have some legit feeling to it, but I am curious as to what the story is.

It's the Trixie "Insider club" creation car - ie after being taken over by M maybe ? Smile

I'm sure others have better information...

#kbvrod: I have found that page too, since it is about the only hit on Google Smile, but it does not answer my questions. It just made me more curious.

Hi Søren,

This car was offered at some export markets (at least in the Netherlands) as a club model. It was not included in the membership and must be paid separately. From that year also a second Märklin "Insider-car" (H0+Z)in the same style exists.
I don't have the order-form for the TRIX-model, but here is the Märklin version:

Thanks man! :-) Was it some sort of replacement club car or what was the story about it? Because another Trix club car exists for that year as well.

Hi Søren,

The Dutch "Insider Club News" only announced the car and apologized the late delivery. No further explanation.

From Insider Club News, September 2001:

Sometimes Marklin produce more than one in a year of these supposedly "Annual" items.

The norm for the last few years has been for more than one "Insider" Locomotive, and there is at least one example of there being two different annual museum cars in one year.

Søren, I wouldn't worry about there being more than one Club car for 2001, just take it as an opportunity to spend some more of your money! BigGrin
