Hello,
the ICE 1 comes with interior light, but the light is realized with two light bulbs per wagon. This cause a high power consumption. Therefore, I decided to exchange the bulbs with LED stripes.

I wanted to use the original circuit board, that is mounted in the ICE 1. The circuit board provides a good surface to mount the LED stripes and there are already connectors for the necessary electronic.

Here, You see how I mounted the bridge rectifier and the pre-resistor:

The bridge rectifier is solded on the original pins, where the bulbs were plugged in:

The self-adhesive LED stripes are bonded on the circuit board:

The 2nd class wagon was equipped with a buffer capacitor in the toilett:

In the reastaurant car, I placed the buffer capacito in the kitchen:
