Hi all,

Could this be a version 1 (1936) red tipper wagen.

All metal, claw coupling, silver coloured buffers and single leaf axle suspension.

Thanks for your help.

Ian.

The coupling was date 1935-37

I Think tthat it's a 362-1 from 1936 as well.

V1 had "coupler type 1" a brownish coupler with a fixed claw or hook and a movable lock plate or what it is called.(1935-1936) V. 2 had a nickel coupler with one fixed and one movable claw or hook (coupler type 2B (1936-1938).
This is information from Märklin Archive v.4.80.

Hi Ian,

Yes, definitely a 362.1 from 1936. I have a matching one in my display!

Best wishes,

Nigel

Hi Ian,

Yes, it could be 1946. It's a bit difficult to see the coupling in your picture, but it could also be 1947-1949.

Best wishes,

Hi Nigel,

Thanks, if we have time you can have a quick look at the wagen at the next meeting.

All the best.

Ian.

Still has the silver buffers (earlier) instead of the gray (1946) or black (1947 and onward).

But usually the ones in 1945 are really the ones from 1942/43 with the nickel plated couplers (very shiny). My guess is late 1945 or 1946.

This car, for instance, was bought at the Marklin factory in 1945 (I have the original receipt!) but the stamping is from 1943.

Hello Paul,

I enjoyed your image very much.
How fascinating that you have an item in such good condition with box AND RECEIPT(!) from 1945. I guess being produced in 1943 there weren't many buyers in Germany 1943-45.
Thank you for showing your tipper.

Regards,

PJ
