Hello,

Since it is hard to find american rolling stock from european brands, I bought a set of athearn intermodal cars. I'm experiencing derailments from time to time in crosses/detours. The cars are equipped with american based wheelsets (3,75 inches / 9.52 mm) and 14 mm between the flanges. I want to upgrade it, to make it run smoother in C tracks.

What wheels are recommended to switch the current RP-25 wheels to NEM and what kadee truck could be used to replace the plastic one?

If (close to exact) replacement wheels are a hard to find items, where can I get a NEM gauge to try to increase the space between flanges?
