I think this may be of interest and not too well known:

Royal Mail In London
NOt wearing the Pink Pinny, which is hard to see and now I have a white Pinny which also is hard to see against MY pure white Skin Still have 2 new shiny tin Hips that is badly in Need of Repair matching rusting tin shoulders
and a hose pipe on the aorta

That was (is) a great system and worked well for many years.
Unfortunately the very nature of the postal service has changed with most of the large post centres that it served now closed. This has rendered it superfluous.
Such a shame.
It is good that they are planning on keeping part of it for a museum but it will no doubt be totally emasculated in the process.
