Hi there! I hope this is the right place for digi-questions...

Here it comes: I cannot get my DB 212 215-8 running... There is decoder which has numbers 611574 on chip and board says: ZI0404290 (hope I got them right).

I already tried 29530 from base... Lights on, nothing else... Oh and i have Mobile Station 60652...

Thanks already,

-Harri

Hi Harri,

Märklin 3072 has the road number 212 215-8 and it is originally an analog locomotive. Yours have then a programmable decoder installed and you should enter this loco as new locomotive and set it´s adress and functions (only lights on/off for F0 and acceleration and braking delay off with F4). It can be that 29530 BR 86 which you used from the database has different functions assigned to those function buttons than your diesel has. Are lights continuously on or are they controllable? My advice is don´t use the 29530 from the database and add a new locomotive manually. Have you tried to change the locomotive adress? What is the adress now? If I remember correctly the default adress for this decoder is 78 or 80, but it can be also something else.

I hope this helps you to get it going.

Janne
Märklin H0 digital layout. I have analog and digital H0 Collection. Rolling stock mostly from era I, II, III and IV. Märklin 1 gauge beginner.

Open the body and check after,if there is wires soldered on the motor.
It might been some loss wires to the motor.

Are lights always on or can you turn them on and off?

Former case: wrong address.
Latter case: correct address, but decoder or motor problem. In the best case it would a problem with the brushes - take them out, put them back in (replace them if they are oily) and try again.

Tom

I got it running! I greased it and used google to find that this decoder was used on kit 29444 and it has address 10.
