I miss the euro east when they were held in Marietta, Pa. It was pretty convenient for me, just a couple hours drive.
If they resume in the east, hopefully they will coincide with the windsor chair classes I occasionally go to in NH. That's an awful long drive for me.

I did go to the NMRA convention/train show today, in Cleveland, OH. There was a large ETE module with all marklin trains by the great lakes chapter, out of An Arbor, MI. There were a few nice or interesting modules, but many just took up space. They should have brought a better variety of locos and cars too. But at least I got to see some marklin. Walthers had maybe four new Marklin items on a wall in their display booth. ESU had a booth, and Reynaulds/Romans had a booth, but did not have trains there to sell.
I thought it was hugely shrunken from the last ones I attended (philadelphia, cincinnati, and pittsburgh) - but then the US economy has never really recovered, except for natural gas drilling, and there has been a lot of companies that have either gone under since I last went, or been swallowed up by others. Anyways it wasn't a bad way to spend a rainy saturday afternoon.
There was quite a bit of z scale, but near all was american prototype, including layouts/modules.

Thank you for the video, but we cannot watch it. It is shown as private.

By the way, great SoCal layout. Kids were in particular fascinated by the fair section, and the underground track.

Pierre

Great show. Got to see some of the guys from this forum at the show. Was always nice to see them. Also got to make several purchases, will be sharing those pictures soon. The deals this year were amazing. Picked up a perfect BR 81 with Telex for $35, thanks John, and a perfect BR 03 for $75. Again a great show and one that was worth the wait.

it was fun seeing many of you over the weekend! Definately a great show- the ETE So Cal and Bemo layouts in particular always impress me, as more and more is done and built every year- nice work guys!

I've been on a VERY tight budget lately RollEyes , however I did allow myself two expenditures: a 47149 SBB log car set, and an analogue E94 in DR livery. I've been looking for the log car set for a LONG time, so I am really excited to finally have it!
