Thanks for the pictures Bertil. It reminded me of a comment my FD made while we were travelling by train in from Germany to Sweden last Christmas. "It's like we are riding in one of your little trains - don't you have one of those?", she says as she points to an ICE that is parked at the next platform. (We were in a Thalys at the time - Miss 14 and I have one of those too LOL )

Thanks for sharing those great photos, Bertil. You seem to have enjoyed yourself.

Can anyone explain why 01 150 now has Witte smoke deflectors instead of the Wagner ones they had on it after the rebuild?

It had the Wager deflectors because Märklin paid for them. It had them exclusively for the Märklin days 2011 to allow Märklin to make a second model of her.

Now she looks as the organizer of the reconstruction wanted to have her - Märklin have no mould to make a model of the current state. Therefore it would have been bad for Märklin if she would have been restored to the current state right from the start.
Problem is the front skirt, not the smoke deflectors. But they already made a model with Witte deflectors before the restoration, so I presume they chose Wagner deflectors for the second model to get more differences.

Regards
Tom

Excellent pictures Bertil.

May I ask does anyone recognise the kit in the bottom right corner of the above photo which shows a large [concrete] floor hopper feeding a conveyor. I am interested in both the hopper portion and conveyor for a planned item on my layout, is it a Faller kit or two kits?

Many thanks

BR

Glenn

I believe the coal bins are Vollmer 5720, although the conveyer is not included here. I think the conveyor is Vollmer 5540, which also includes a motor so you can operate it if you like.
