Hi did Marklin only release the warship under cat number 3073, or were there others! I have seen the april fool maroon one. Is the second picture a kit!

There was only 3073, and Märklin never issued another version. There were allegedly some 3973 kits of the Warship (in plain brown boxes for dealers only), but they are pretty rare, and I've never seen one. I'd buy an unmade 3973 if I found one!

O well, it will have to be a green thenBigGrin when i have saved up enough to get one! It would be nice to see Marklin make a new one for a British anniversary, i found a rather nice livery see here-

Yes, a nice Digital conversion, I think! (Sorry to boast!)

It's my second 3073, as I have a mint one, too, which is still in its original analogue form. I always wanted one when I was young, but couldn't afford one then.

Hi Mike - As you all know i am a bit fuzzy on prototypes (I am actually fuzzy about quite a few things) but with help from
excellent e-bayer Steve Parry I got the following
