Hi All, On my search for Faller Auto Rast 215 I came across many Faller AMS enthusiasts websites and found also a movie of the Heras Wiad Modellautostrasse. This FALLER AMS like slot car system was introduced at the 1961 Nürnberg toy fair and surprised the visitors with Wiking cars that drive automatically. That was the dream off all modelrailway fans !! The spectacle was even more amazing because until that day, no one had heard of Heras. The Faller brothers came with their AMS 2 years later. So Heras Wiad is a true pioneer !!!

I was fascinated by and under the spell of the super sweet Heras Wiad slot cars in the first movie in this thread, and have contacted the maker of the film for some more information. And I got this (German language ) link from him .... EDIT November 22, 2012 : I have removed the link because the makers have unfortunately stopped with their slotcar website. Hi All, To my knowledge this is the only movie that can be found of a moving Heras Wiad Car, Bus or Van. The short movie is published on YouTube today by Ryan, a member of a German MRR forum. I have already thanked Ryan for his lovely upload of this super rare first HO slotcar system.
