Having a tidy-up and unpacking of boxes etc you come across all manner of forgotten things.

I found a leaflet below that I must have collected along the way and it prompted me to check out the 1.fc kids club

Very cool and pleasantly surprised to see it offers several languages including our all-important English. ThumpUp

Those who have kids that are sympathetic to our hobby might it interesting. Now how do I pass for under-14 so I can join too..... Blushing

Miss 12 was in the 1.FC many years ago for a few years, but one year the 10EURO could not be made by Credit Card - I think I was 2008 or 2009 in the middle of Marklin's financial mess. The cost of transfer for 10 Euro was A$25 and the bank at the Marklin end would have slugged another 10 Euro.. She was disappointed at the time.. There was also a problem with the Annual Cars and licensing.. Some of them could not be sent to Australia - another source of pain until we realised that we could get some of them from eBay.. To this day we have been unable to get the carrot wagon at a sensible price.. RollEyes

It was a great idea, but poorly executed outside of Germany..

Good News! Marklin has revamped the kids program and now call it Marklin KidsClub. They have a good cast of cartoon characters and finally the kids club cars are no longer have the "Loney Tunes" Licenseing restrictions.

Daughter 8 is finally getting her club car in Canada AND get a magazine once per month.
