Hi Ray,
Very nice & great to see you indulging in some functions Wink Smile Treat those telex carefully, don't leave on for too long and dont force them.
(Expensive experience mostly with conversions using themScared )
Also lovely Kl94 and CFL MAK ThumpUp

There are so many new purchases since I had any meaningful time to spend on the forum over the last three months. Nice ones all but I'll get back to them Smile

Next is the 55138 SVT04.501 in 1 Gauge.

Nice ones David, lovely ThumpUp ,
Suprised at your SVT04, but in a moment of madness back in '06 I ordered the I Guage SVT137, and received it over a year later. It's never occurred to me that a good reason to remove it from the box, is to do a comparison pic, but my HO guage one is the weathered version and has way less functions than the big one Wink

My first contributions to this thread (but not my first loco purchases of 2012):

It was recently my birthday, and I am very fortunate to have received two fine locomotives:

First, 37140 (DB BR89.70-75):

UserPostedImage

And also 3084 (DB 050), made sometime in the late 70s. No serial number, I haven't checked the date on the box yet (blue/yellow/orange window box):

Hi!

I have to show you some purchases from this year.

TECHNOLOGY. PLAY. FASCINATION.

One very fascinating model in the 2003 catalogue is the Insider model BR 103 with remote-controlled working pantographs. I wasn't an Insider then - and back then I was not willing to spend so much money for a single loco.

This year I got one second hand from eBay.

Technology: C Sine motor and a decoder with smooth acceleration and braking delay.
Play: Pantographs that can be controlled digitally.
Fascination: All of the above.

The yellow LEDs were high tech then, but look old fashioned now. The biggest flaw of this fine model.

I like blue locos.

The V 60 (MWB) is from Roco. I was fascinated by the yellow marks on the wheels - my only model that has them.

The CFL 1502 is from Märklin.

The 139 133 is also from Märklin. It has a special livery that celebrates 50+ years of reliable service by this loco.

This year I visited the Miniatur Wunderland at Hamburg for the first time.

There I saw a white Re 460 with a cow on the walls. And I wanted one.
Found it on eBay.

Incidentally I noticed that SBB had only four locos of class Re 4/4 IV and that Märklin had made all four numbers. And even better: you can get those four different numbers in four different liveries.
Found 'em on eBay.

I only see the Märklin logo in your post (Märklin don't allow stealing their traffic to post their pictures on other sites).

Own pictures of the items you actually received are very welcome.

Hello Steven,
Very nice I see John Van Damme has one at a reasonable price, and I thought about it, may I ask do you know if it has a real, if thin Gold coating (I suspect not at the price) or is it a gold laquer ?

TECHNOLOGY.

Hi Tom,
Congratulations, BigGrin I got mine 7 years ago from Marklin Dealer MMM (or RocoUSA) in Florida, best deal on the Net at the time, value it highly & agree T,P,F, very much so, but I don't agree on the headlights, but I must compare it with one of my recent versions. I think warm white LEDs looks less appropriate on recent Steamloco versions. Just sayin Wink

I should add; very nice diesels, that Roco V60 has F details, hope the T&P are good also Wink

Also very nice electrics, like the White RE460, my 3 are all Red and one is a dummy so no TPF at all Sad and great set of RE4/4 IVs ThumpUp

Seasons Greetings from NZ

No matching coaches yet! Mellow but I will try...

My guess is that such memorabilia models like 37478 should be issued with coaches, as a train set.

If you've been at the Treff'05 you are certainly lucky!
Thanks for the Seasons Greetings from NZ! Glad to hear that ThumpUp

Hi, Phil,

Nice locos.

If you care about details: the grey cables on the roof with the green isolators near the ends should end in the brown isolators nearby. They don't do this at the factory (probably no-one told 'em to).
Or leave it like it is - it's the Märklin series standard for this model.

Hi Ian.

Nice engine.

I got it (3048) in 1963. 50 years of running and still working perfect.

I hope your Grandson get the same experience BigGrin
