Hi,

on the CAN-page in the Setup: Is the CAN set to "broadcast" (is normally on "auto")? If not select "broadcast" - also assure the CS2 is assigned a correct IP-address in your routers IP-range.

Ok - then try and set the IP below CAN to 192.168.1.255 and see what happens (eventually you must reboot the CS2).

I am struggeling with my CS2...it will not remember the subnet mask 255.255.255.0 it basicaly change it back to 255.0.0.0 every time i restart.
I am good with networks and routers...but are getting furious about this.
i am on sw version 1.5.2

any ideas?

Fixed ; Ipad and Iphone connects without any problems now...
I had to upgrade to CS2 version 1.6.4 with USB since it never got to internet without subnet 255.255.255.0.
After upgrade this is fixed and it remembers the subnet mask.

Only those with 10.0.0.1 routers had this problem...

I am so glad we have Microsoft...life with Linux would be very geeky ;-)

Hi all, I AM new in this forum, not a new Marklin user though. I've been unsuccesfully trying to connect my CS2 TO the iPad Marklin app. I've gone through most (or all) tips round in internet and still cannot connect both devices. Have tried the tips you guys mention above also no success.

This is what I have:

On my IPad:
IP AD: 192.168.1.35
SUBNET MASK: 255.255.255.0
ROUTER: 192.168.1.1
DNS: 80.58.61.250, 80.58.61.254

On the CS2:
IP adresse: 192.168.1.35
IP- netzmaske: 255.255.255.0
IP-gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS server: 80.58.61.250

And then set TO "auto"

On the CAN menu, the number is 192.168.1.255 and I've tried to connect both with "broadcast" and "auto"

So, the que questions are:

1.- on CS2, do DNS SERVER and IP-GATEWAY ende TO be the same? I've got some instructions saying so and some not saying anything (I've tried both posibilities nome of then working). Also i have tried with the other DNS number (the one ending in 254) and doesnt working

2.- any ideas? CS2 has been succesfully updated TO the last version and also has my iPad.

Thanks for your help, I AM lost.

Alfredo

Hi Alfredo,
you have the same ip adress in two devices, that is the same to compone your telephone number in your telephone.
I suggest to set a fix ip address in the CS2 192.168.1.100, so the router have the address from 1 to 99 free for a lot of devices.
