In looking at the HAG list, I'm rather stunned. Does nobody buy rolling stock anymore?? Only Locomotives??

Not only HAG but many of the other manufacturers offer many more loks than comparable rolling stock. How to make a consist????

Is there more profit in Loks?Flapper

HAG have not made coaches for a long time now and like their locos the wagons were mainly of the same type with different colours and adverts etc.
For what they charge for their locos they should indeed be making a profit. They all run well though and coaches had metal chassis.

Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.

Hi Guys,

When you click on NEWS Fruhllingsinfo, on the page that pops up, what is the red thingy at the bottom?

Thanks,

Jeremy.

The GTW Theatre St Gallen looks lovely also a shame that one of them could not be held until later in the year as i will be only in a position i would say to purchase one now i hope they dont sell out to quick.
I got the HAG RE450 SET ref 31-011-31 from a dealer in the States it looks lovely i believe they call it the bat design livery the one problem i found with the RE450 Power Car was that the loco name and crest was not on the model for some reason and i checked the real thing and it has its name and crest on it.Cool

Oh.. Is your dealer TEE USA? Well.. That 's no choice.. Theatre St.Gallen Thurbo will definitely sell out very quickly due to its nice livery and design and a lot of HAG modellers are waiting for a piece of that pie each. (Especially Swiss HAG Forum users) No doubt it will sell out before its even released so now it is a good time to order it. The TOP Blitz can get it later. There will be enough stock for you to get.. :)

Yes i purchased the RE450 Set from Eurolokshop.
If you can find out why there is no Crests or name on the RE450 Car please let me know its unlike HAG to make an error like that.
I think that the new RE460 Railaway loco colouring is a bit weak colour wise i have the RE460 Microsoft loco and i think the colouring should be alot brighter on that loco also its a D/C model and i sent it to a guy in the South of Ireland to put sound in it for me he done a great job with my HAG RE465 Miss Saigon model which looks great its nice and bright the colours on it as is the RE465 Elisabeth (a/c Dig) and the VCS (A/C Sound)and Les Miserables (A/C Sound) models i wont bore you with a full list.

Don't worry.. I will ask my friend about this problem and sees what he says. The best bet would be to send an email to HAG regarding your RE 450 error and tell them your problem...

I contacted HAG last July about the RE450 Set ref 31-011-31 and i heard nothing back from them.
I heard that HAG are doing another run of either 31-010 OR 31-011 it will be intersting to see if they have the name and crest on the RE450 loco body.
I just pre-ordered the HAG GTW Theatre St Gallen its just over €1000 with sound but well worth it.
The HAG GTW 3 Car limited edition in white is a bit dull in comparsion.

Due to custom charges buying outside the EU i would end up paying more for the HAG GTW than the €1000 i will pay buying the GTW in Europe.
I bought the HAG RE460 ref 28-222-22 LOKFUHRER 2316 in the States it cost me over €100 in custom charges.
I got the HAG RE465 Expo 02 model in the States also and i got the dealer to put in an MFX Sound decoder for me its a lovely model and thankfully escaped Custom charges back in 2006.

Thanks for your assistance but i ordered the HAG GTW ref 34-010-22 yesterday from a dealer in Switzerland he held a GTW ref 34-002-22 BLS red for me before for nearly 2 months as funds were low so i would like to give him my custom again as a mark of thanks but i will look into dealing with him in the future.
The new HAG RE460 ref 28-250- My Switzerland is that the same loco HAG produced before or is it based on a different loco it looks great would love to get it but i promised myself not to buy anymore HAG RE460 Type locos as i have 16.

Hi. I ordered this tourism advertisement RE460. I will show you how it will look like when I receive the model in end of March. It will definitely be another sold out model. Oh yes. If you are interested in the 2011 edition MySwitzerland RE460 even though you run out of funds ,my friend can reserve one for you if needed. Not a problem at all. Just send him a email through the address provided in the PM and he will reserve it for you.

Thank you for your assistance.
I will have plenty of time to get the money to pay for the HAG GTW THEATRE ST GALLEN then thankfully.
Due to the price of the HAG GTW models the 300 of the yellow GTW Sets may not sell out to quick,

Hi Robert and all HAG/Märklin fans,

Both Swiss dealers- Bahnorama in Bern and Roundhouse in Zürich - list this loco with product number 20 064. (-20/-21 for DC and -31 for the AC version).

This is a still unconfirmed production number, but it seems highly likely it will eventually have that number.
Kind regards,
Guus

Robert, this is not Crossrail. This is Xrail, an alliance made up of DB Shenker (Germany), SBB Cargo (CH), Rail Cargo Austria (AT/HU), SNCB Cargo (Belgium), CD Cargo (Czech) CFL Cargo (Luxembourg) and Green Cargo (Sweden). Crossrail is a company owned by Babcock and Brown Rail that was formed out of the Cargo operations of the former Regionalverkehr Mittelland (RM) in Switzerland when it was sold after the RM was merged with the BLS. Crossrail later merged with Belgian company DLC (Dillon LeJeune) to form the current Crossrail company.

The appropriate lok for your Crossrail container cars would be one of the following:

37346 Crossrail Re 436 113 (Crossrail Re 436 also available from Hag)
MRCE BR 185 Crossrail (available from Maerklin, Trix, Roco, ACME, RailTop-ACME, Piko)
CB Rail BR 185 (available from Trix, Roco and Piko) also Ewals version from Roco
BR 186 (ACME)
Re 484 (ACME)
SBB Re 482 RAG (SBB Cargo leased a Re 482 (different numbers over time) to German RAG, which was then re-leased to Crossrail for traffic from Germany to Wilen CH)

The Re 6/6 Xrail can be used with any freight train that would normlly be operated by SBB Cargo.

Regards

Mike C

Do you have a product number for this engine? I have a collection of CrossRail container cars and could use this engine to pull the consist.

Robert

Hi Robert and all HAG/Märklin fans,

Both Swiss dealers- Bahnorama in Bern and Roundhouse in Zürich - list this loco with product number 20 064. (-20/-21 for DC and -31 for the AC version).

This is a still unconfirmed production number, but it seems highly likely it will eventually have that number.

And the number of motors to be fitted to this engine is still under discussion..

The set of three additional coaches completing the "Kambly" biscuit train has now been delivered. Unfortunately, it is already sold out almost everywhere.

For those who do not know what I am referring to: In the year 2010, the famous Swiss biscuit/cookie manufacturer Kambly celebrated 100 years in business. To mark this anniversary, an attractive BLS consist in white livery with one Re 465 and six coaches (formerly series EW III of the SBB) was created which now runs almost daily between Berne and Lucerne. Pictures here:

http://www.google.ch/sea...amp;biw=1595&bih=875

The HAG/Liliput consist looks very elegant and attractive, and if you happen to find such a set anywhere, try to buy it in spite of the high price! Drool

I'd like to add a picture of a model representing HAG's new "discount line": These are somewhat simplified models in a scale slightly larger than HO. Thanks to the multiprotocol "Five digits®" decoder from ZIMESU, they can be pushed on a variety of track systems. LOL

PS. This tinplate BLS Re 465 (filled with cookies) is currently available for CHF 20.00 at the Kambly factory shop at Trubschachen, Switzerland.

Looking at the HAG homepage it looks as tho they are maybe going to produce a model of this new shunter ThumpUp Some of you could have it in full operation on your layouts before SBB doesSneaky

Just a quick heads up to let you know that one of the members of the Swiss Hag Forum has proposed a special Re 460 model in the 1980s logo of the SZU railroad (Sihltalbahn) in the Zuerich area.

http://www.forum.hag-inf...readID=4400&pageNo=1

Drawing: http://www.forum.hag-inf...ccd1a615b4fc003097d681c9

Here is the model of the Re 4/4 KTU (Re 456) in the same livery: http://www.forum.hag-inf...11b28d6e4e4a90164987965e

The railroad operates a short line in the valley between Zuerich and Sihlbrugg. In the 1980s, the Zuerich Terminus was relocated in the basement of the main Bahnhof from it's previous location in Zuerich-Selnau on the bank of the Sihl River.

This is purely a fantasy lok, but the colours look nice.

They have almost reached 20 orders, the quantity required to go ahead with production. Anybody interested should contact members Treepalms or Cebu Pacific via the Swiss Forum. I don't know if Andi (Treepalms) speaks English, but Erwin (Cebu) does. Our member Stefan may also be able to assist you if you are interested and I can also help translate any questions or order you may wish to send.

That link once again: http://www.forum.hag-inf...readID=4400&pageNo=1

Specify WS (AC), GS (DC) and whether you want Digital (for DC) or Sound (AC is already digital).

Oh, and one last thing, Hag makes EWI in the classic Sihtalbahn livery. More coaches were made by Swiss small manufacturer Sigg (www.siggmodell.ch) as well as more modern double deck coaches by Fleischmann and Sachsenmodelle (Tillig).

Regards

Mike C

Which one of the two varieties does he have? I've never heard of such an inscription on the box, so it seems to be something special. ThumpUp

Hi Mike, Stefan, Chan et al.,

Thanks again for all the photos. Could anyone tell me whether HAG produced anything similiar
to the attached photo?

Jeremy.

Hi Jeremy,

No regrettably they haven't. It's a narrow gauge rail locomotive. Bemo, which among other manufacturers specializes in this field, makes a scale model of this specific loc.

No, because in reality this HGe 4/4 II is metre gauge. But an HOm scale model is available from Bemo.
