Hi all,

Got 5 banana vans delivered today.

They range from a tinplate 382 through to 1960's 4509's and also a Liliput 248.

There conditions are best described as "work in progress" Smile

B1.

Photo's soon.

I found two today, at my local MMR dealer

4509 version 3, 1958 - 1967
4509

4414 version 1, 1976 - 1983
4414

Now I have four!
I told my dealer that a new trend is building up; to collect banana cars.

Okay my picture is not posting any thoughts.

My pic is on the web in my photobox account which has full public access privileges.

I used the insert picture command above and inserted the image address on photobox.

Any thoughts on what might be wrong????

How does everyone else do it?

Thanks guys

Hi GlennM,

You're picture was there, and now it's gone.

Just like so many other things in life. Smile

B1 thought that the rear light looked good.

Thanks Ian.

Do you post many pics on the site, and if so do you mind writing down the process by which you post and perhaps the hosting site for the pics. Maybe it is Photobox, although I have used them before, and I have checked the site and the album is fully open with no restrictions?????

Possibly something to do with copyrighting...............

Okay looking on the site seems a lot of people are using Imageshack to host their images, and so I will try this site and see if I can post images more successfully.

My apologies to all for wasting your time, please bear with me.

Hi all,

Another banana van arrived today, sorry but I've lost count how many that is. Smile

B1 reckons it's close to 60, and if that is true, I'd better buy some more.

Of course maybe that's my IQ or even my age he's talking about. Wink Smile

That's nice, Ian. I think I prefer the brown vans to the yellow ones.

Speaking of which, my Primex 2760 set which is on its way to me includes this one:

I've joined "the Banana wagon club" this week.

I got 3 of these:

Dole bananvagn

This is a special "SJ" Dole banana wagon made for Modelljärnvägsspecialisten in Luleå and Banankompaniet. 500 of them were made and about 250 of them went to Banankompaniet.
The model has article #4735.024 at the store and it is obviously based on an SBB Hbis 4735.
(I've earlier also 2 of the 4637, but being brown, they do not stand out as banana wagons as much as these do).

Hi,

The car that Marklin has forgotten. I know that the type was sold by a Swedish shop in the 1990s, but I made this one myself using self-designed-decals.
