This was one of my childhood favourites, I have one that was purchased secondhand back in the 80s, but not in as pristine condition as yours after "surviving" my childhood and pulling some pretty big trains. Really wonderful.

Mine is from the mid '80s, and came in the Blue/Orange box with a window. You can tell it's an older version from the valve gear. As the model was improved slowly through the years the valve gear got finer.

I also love the detail on these coaches, especially the fold down step plates between coaches. I have some of these in K.W.St.E. livery.

That photo was taken nearly 2 years ago and that section of track is long gone, but, I'll take that onboard and when building the new layout, just be that bit extra careful, of course being honest, I could say it was B1 that laid that section of track.
