Has anyone with a newer CS2 (60214?) tested the Phono "Active Speaker or Headphones" output?

I am hopeful of an "audio feedback" - beep - sometime in the near future.

I plugged an active speaker to it and did several operations. Just low level static noise came out.

I connected my CS2 to a PC monitor that has build-in speaker.
There is a more than reasonable 'digital' noise coming out of the CS2 headphone.

I also tested the 2 wav files that are available in the 'Setup' - 'Audio' menu.
Ansage1.wav and Ansage2.wav play via the speaker, accompanied with a lot of noise.
When the CS2 is put in to emergency STOP mode, the noise is way less and the station voices actually sound quite clear...

The 'SiFa' warnings on my BRr218 diesel that I hear with the CS2 for PC app are not heard via this audio output.
That is a big miss, IMHO

Anyway, the digital noise is disturbing.

I noticed it too. I know that the panel in the back is built to the minimum plug clearance. Some USB sticks and phone plugs will not fully insert. I had to trim my plug a little to fully seat.

Then there is all the electronic noice that is coming from the nearby transformers, tracks (AC signal through tracks are like a low grade attennae), transformers and a lot of us use florescent lighting with cheap ballasts that are VERY noisy electronically. I also have my wi-fi- router right there too.

I am going to play around with this some more as I want to make use of speakers more by adding sound files...

I will first move the suspected noise makers further away. I will also check the plug again as it may have moved out.

There is also the possiblitly that the recent CS2 upgrade is forcing it to make more electronic noise but that seems unlikely.
