Hello,

I wonder if Markin or Trix dropped announced models. I am waiting for a Trix 22182 bad IVh which was released in Marklin version (39021) a couple of months ago. I noticed that the Trix model was dropped from my german dealer list. Does anybody have any story of Marklin/Trix models that never made to dealers?

Ed
My ancestors came from the land of rising sun. I was born in South America. Spent time in Europe. Now I live in California.
So, I am a builder of south american brass models. I read about the railroads on the Sierras. But I play with Marklin and have best time with my Marklin peers. wink

There was once a railway crossing announced by Märklin with full barriers (74922). It appeared in one catalogue, and disappeared.

The Trix C track collection would be the same as Märklin, still the crossings are not produced.
For Märklin C track a 360 mm piece was announced. It is still not made, and it is not mentioned anymore.

Well the 22182 will be delivered as far as I can tell. It has not yet been produced according to the TRIX homepage (red and yellow light), but it's scheduled to be delivered in December. So I guess that if you're lucky you'll have it before Christmas. Could your dealer have dropped it because it's a one-time series and the models he's expecting to get is already pre-ordered?

If you inspect the articles announced around CS1 you probably can find some ghosts (including the vapourware Booster 60172).

Of course they did, Ed ...

A few years back they showed an F7 in NYC livery, Lex Luthor steamer too. Both dropped [xx(]

Alas Poor 74922.
I wished I had known it well.

Shame it never came out.

No, John - this is the ALCO PA-1 Diesel that came in various liveries ...
She was a regular item for several years, as a solo buy and as well with starter sets Smile

I was referring to a GM F7 Diesel in NYC livery that never made it into production [:(]

I never saw the F7 in the NYC livery, John. That would have looked nice. I wonder why they cancelled it?

Remember, Ray - our best guess then was they've been running out of useable molds. Or money. Or intent ...
Whatever, looking at the grey GM EMD F7 Demonstrators #3349/3649 from year 1990 we might get a clue [:p]

If you give me your mail-address via forum-mail I'll send you the "forbidden" picture biggrin[}:)]

A recent example: The blue 151 in SRI livery, Trix #22815, is now marked as "sold out". Two months ago it was announced for Q4/2015.
So the Trix loco was cancelled, but the Märklin version is still on the list.

Also many of the start sets that would have carried the '150 jahre' logo, the one I remember was the mega start set that had two trains and a 39980 based railcar. They were all terminated by Herr Pluta while he sorted out the receivership situation.

Rivarossi in about 1984, advertised the Norfolk and Western J class in a HO new items catalogue.
(This is the real engine that has just been revived in steam).
https://www,facebook.com/Fireup611

Rivarossi never got around to doing it.
