Hi all, Copy of an email from Brenda ThumpUp

Märklin, Inc. News

We are happy to announce Märklin has hired two Digital Consultants to provide Digital technical assistance and support to dealers, consumers and Club members in North America.

Curtis Jeung and Rick Sinclair will share the responsibilities formerly provided by the late Dr. Tom Catherall. Curtis and Rick worked closely with Tom and shared their common passion for Märklin Digital.

Here is a summary of their backgrounds and interests:

Curtis Jeung

Curtis started taking an interest in model railroading in late 2003, primarily because he was interested in the Digital application of the hobby. This was due in part to his professional experience as a programming developer in multimedia. In 2007-2009, Curtis had the opportunity to promote and sell Märklin products as holiday help at a local train shop. In more recent years, he expanded his interests to include electronics, including designing and building components for use on his layout. Curtis has enjoyed troubleshooting and repairing circuit boards and even the Central Station. Dr. Tom Catherall invited Curtis to submit articles for past issues of the Digital Newsletter.

Rick Sinclair

Rick started in Märklin at an early age, and has been an avid collector up to the present day. Since childhood, he has maintained and repaired his entire collection of Marklin items, and enjoys doing digital upgrades to complete rebuilds for friends. Rick has done some minor restoration of locomotives including matching paint and modifying lighting. He has had several configurations of layouts over the years and is currently building a large layout with Curtis Jeung. Rick worked in a local train shop selling trains from 1995 – 2009 during the holiday months. Rick had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Dr. Tom Catherall over the years learning the Märklin Digital system.

To contact Curtis and Rick for help with your Digital and product related questions:

Phone: 650-569-1318 Hours: 6:00am – 9:00pm PST. Monday through Friday.

E-mail: digital@marklin.com

The Digital Newsletter will be relaunched in the coming months. We will keep you informed as this process develops.

Please join us in welcoming Curtis and Rick on board!

Sincerely,

Märklin, Inc.

I personally know both Rick and Curtis and they are stand up guys

I recently have had them install decoders and sound modules on a few Loks with good results. BigGrin
