Trying out a new macro lens on some of my Marklin z-scale freight sets on the diorama.

Marklin 81001 Light-goods wagon train - Stückgut-Schnellverkehr was the name used to brand the DRG/DR high-speed shipping service. Close coupling, with bellows connecting the cars allowed workers to sort less-than-carload shipments while the train was traveling, speeding up processing and reducing delivery times.

Marklin 88942 BR 94 locomotive pulling the 86391 and 86392 sets of goods wagons, to commemorate the economic miracle of post-WWII German reconstruction.


Close-up viewing is recommended to see the amazing detail in the small printing on these cars and locomotives. Letters are less than .5mm tall and still very legible.
