I really like the ocean Blue and beige colours. I would love to get these two. Pity I've spent all my budget this year!

Hello Folks,

Does anyone know if this livery was actually produced on these locos; I like the colours but have been unable to find any images of them in prototype (not that I am a "rivet counter")

Regards,

PJ

PJ -- Nice set. Attached is a photo of a "Real" E 120 in blue-and-cream livery. Not a great image, but shows that a prototype did exist. I have an older red-and-cream TEE version on order & will post after it arrives

Regards -- Richard

Yep, bad PhotoShop edit (you can still see the red colour inside the 0s of the loco number).

It's just another case of "Das Original gibt es bei Märklin". The blue 120 did not yet exist in 1:1.

Tom

Pure fantasy liveries. The blue/cream paint scheme was used for slower locos only, the fast locos had red/cream liveries.

Tom -- Interesting "bei Marklin" comments. After a closer look, my earlier photo is obviously unreal (I'd not noticed the red color left inside the 0s.) As a correction, the photo attached below shows the same locomotive (running number 120 003-9) in its proper TEE livery without Photoshop edits.

Prototype pics of E 120s and E 120.1s in TEE wine-cream colors and in later cardinal red liveries are numerous. I guess I now know why blue-and-cream was hard to find. Thanks for your corrections & my apologies to PJ.

Regards -- Richard
