I just noticed this item on ebay.it tonight. It is a 37622 "Santa Fe" F7A-B set custom repainted in the 1970s CP Rail livery and weathered.
http://www.ebay.de/itm/F...ERT-SOUND-/321716692794?

This is the first time that I have seen a CP Rail model that works on Maerklin. There were a few CN freight cars as part of the Alaska sets in the 1990s.
Although the real CP engines were mostly F9s and even the F7s did not have the lower headlight, it should make for an interesting model for those interested.
There is less than a day left in the auction.

Regards

Mike C

I have a Canadian FP7 as part of my Northlander set. I think that will be enough for me as I am concentrating on Dutch models.

600 Euros = about CAD$900. GULP!

For CAD$650. plus 13% tax you can buy this at the local Marklin dealer in Toronto:

This post was about a hand painted Canadian model. Those who might be interested understand that this was a model that originally cost around 350 EUR and you have to add the labour and materials used to convert the model to a unique CP Rail livery and would understand why such a model would go for over 600 EUR and would be willing to pay that price for such a unique model. I recently paid a couple of hundred Euros (above the original price) to have a Roco SBB Swiss Express repainted in the red livery and more than the price of this CP Rail model to obtain a small production Bistro coach to complete my SOB Voralpen Express (1998) consist. The value of any particular item depends on how much you want to have it in your collection.

That said, I respect your opinion that you would be more interested in a steam powered consist than the model I posted about.

No question your train is very nice, but the appeal of a brand new train at less money with a warranty makes me go my way.

(By the way, I did NOT buy that set, it's just in my own "wish list".) BigGrin

worth every penny if you want it. That paint job alone would cost $400+ to have professionally done
